In which the recipient has had time on a professional telescope to view celestial objects. (SS)
While taking a planetary science class, the professor gave us the option of joining him late one night, as he had time on one of the big telescopes located in Hawaii. He let me control it (remotely, via computer), while searching for NEO. We actually had to wait around for a while, as another group had tied up the telescope due to studying a supernova that had _just happened_. Well worth the wait.
I got to play with the HET! Woo!
